Recce Log is designed to keep production information under your control on your iPhone. Content Dept LLC does not operate a Recce Log cloud database, require a Recce Log account, use advertising technology, or sell personal information. Apple may include app data in an iCloud or computer backup when those backup features are enabled on your device.

1. Who is responsible for personal information

Content Dept LLC, a United States limited liability company, is the data controller for personal information that Content Dept actually receives through Recce Log support, purchase administration, or related communications.Content Dept does not receive or control projects, location records, photos, recordings, checklists, notes, or roster contacts stored locally inside the app. If you enter information about clients, crew, property contacts, or other people, you are responsible for having an appropriate legal basis or permission to use it.

2. Information stored on your iPhone

Depending on the features you use, Recce Log may locally store project and client names, production and call times, locations, addresses, precise coordinates, scout dates, contact details, photos, ambient recordings, sound measurements, connectivity results, emergency-service results, checklists, statuses, notes, releases, Creative Roster details, profile photos, crew assignments, Location Bucket records, and app preferences. This information remains in Recce Log unless you intentionally export or share it. Content Dept cannot view, retrieve, or remotely delete it.Recce Log does not provide its own cloud-sync service. However, iOS may include Recce Log app data in an iCloud Backup or a backup made to a computer, depending on your Apple and device settings. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not Content Dept.Deleting a record removes that record and associated local media where applicable. Clear Cache removes disposable generated files, not saved Recce Log content. Deleting Recce Log from your iPhone deletes its locally stored content. App updates normally preserve it.

3. Device permissions

Recce Log requests camera access for photos, photo-picker access for images you select, location access for capturing coordinates and an available street address, and microphone access for short ambient recordings and relative sound measurements. You can decline these permissions and use features that do not require them. Permissions can be changed in iOS Settings.Recce Log does not continuously monitor your location, camera, or microphone. A nearby emergency-services search uses coordinates already saved to that location and does not request a new live location reading.

4. Information transmitted from your device

Connectivity tests: If you run a test, Recce Log sends download, upload, and latency requests to Cloudflare. Cloudflare may receive your IP address, routing information, system or network configuration information, timing, and standard network metadata.Data Saver is enabled by default and limits a test to approximately 7.5 MB. If you disable Data Saver in Settings, a full test can transfer up to approximately 65 MB.Recce Log does not send projects, contacts, photos, recordings, notes, coordinates, or roster information to Cloudflare. Results remain local. Nearby emergency services: If you tap Refresh Emergency Services, Recce Log sends an Apple Maps search for hospitals and police stations around the coordinates saved for that location. Apple receives the search terms, search region, and standard request information needed to return results.Recce Log locally saves the selected result's name, address, phone number, coordinates, distance, and update date. Search results can be inaccurate or outdated and can be edited by you. Support and feedback: If you choose to send an email, Content Dept receives your email address, message, attachments, and information you include. A beta-feedback draft may include the app version, general device type, and iOS version. Exports and map links: When you use Apple's share interface, you choose the recipient or third-party service and the content to send. Location shares may contain a name, address, precise coordinates, and links for Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze.Creating the text does not contact those map services, but opening a link sends the information contained in that link to the selected provider. Shared information is then handled by the recipient and service under its own privacy terms. Apple: Apple distributes Recce Log, provides MapKit and device services, handles TestFlight and App Store purchases, and may provide transaction, aggregate usage, crash, or diagnostic information depending on your settings. Content Dept does not receive full payment-card details.
